The Board of Directors for Lake Chaweva Club (the "Club") consists of seven Directors who are property owners within the boundaries of the Club ("Members"). Directors strive to meet monthly to discuss and administer Club business and four Directors will constitute a quorum. Members must be able to evidence ownership by legal instruments (I.e. property deed showing ownership transfer) recorded with the Kanawha County Courthouse.
Members in good financial standing with the Club are invited to the meetings to present their topics for consideration. Guests are provided the first thirty (30) minutes to present. However, all thirty minutes may not be needed. Once all guests have presented, the remainder of the meeting is closed and will follow the outlined agenda. If time allows, the Directors will address the guest presentations. Members are welcome to have their concerns added to the agenda in advance of the notice for the next meeting. Members are welcome to observe business (quietly without disturbance) during the closed sessions except for those matters where the executive session shall be called. Meetings shall follow Roberts Rules of Order.
Annual meetings will be held in June of each year per the Bylaws. The Club's fiscal year is July 1 - June 30. The annual meeting will have a set agenda and a draft of the prior annual meeting minutes can be viewed at the gatehouse upon request. Voting privileges at the annual meeting are only for Members whose accounts are in good standing.
